Trace is a photographic series inspired by conversations between the artist and a close friend who faced breast cancer while living in Ballarat.
Rather than documenting illness, the work attends to an inner landscape where feelings come and go, fear and uncertainty alongside tenderness; grief opening into a deliberate acceptance. Through intimate portraiture, Trace invites viewers to meet the body as a place of presence and return, where gratitude can surface even in difficult seasons.
Presented upstairs in the Long Room at Her Majesty's Theatre Ballarat as part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.
