The event attracted a multitude of aspiring musicians and artists and provided a unique platform for informative and motivational discussions. Notable guest speakers included Janet English from Spiderbait, who shared her journey and insights into navigating the music industry to achieve success.

Workshops were also conducted to support emerging artists. Will Evans, Bandcamp’s Artist and Label Ambassador for Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand, engaged attendees by discussing how the online record store and music community enables passionate fans to discover and directly support the artists they admire. Additionally, Angela D’Alton, a seasoned finance manager in the music sector, offered valuable advice based on her extensive experience working with artists, management teams, festivals and record labels. She provided insights into establishing small business systems that promote financial transparency.

Live music was a highlight of the festival, with performances held at various venues throughout Ballarat. The headline act, Augie March, captivated a large audience at the Civic Hall, Ballarat’s premier live music venue. Support acts Coda Chroma and Dayfever also impressed attendees with their exceptional talent and distinct musical styles. Augie March delivered fan-favorite hits along with specially featured songs, truly making the most of their time on stage.

Overall, it was a weekend filled with remarkable achievements and memorable experiences.
